This acrylic on canvas is painted from a photograph of my favorite sycamore tree that I see often while on my walks. In this picture, the leaves are gone, leaving only the beautiful white limbs caught in bright sunlight against the brilliant blue sky. the brightness of the sun causes shadows of limbs across the trunk. In the distance a small bird flies by, highlighting the magnificent size of this large sycamore tree.
